Grading on a curve

Can this really be changed? Professors have been grading on a curve for years. The more curves the better. So is this really ever going to change?There are students who are all too willing to be graded on their curves. Too many times people are perfectly willing to play ball, and the ones who are not are the ones who fall behind and get the bad grades. This sends out a really bad message for those that will come after, and when nothing is done it sends out an even worst message, but what can be done?

Can this system ever really be changed, can a difference be made?
